Hi dear Mary and Carla!
Great to have the chance to interact with you via this channel once again... BTW, does either of you have an idea of how the second comment on this thread made its way here? Perhaps Mary set my blog post URL as trackback? Or did I do it when visiting her blog? I've clicked on so many options that I can't even remember whether the latter option is possible.... I'm noly learning to use trackbacks, but am most interested in them!

Hi Gladys,

I really enjoyed reading your blog post, and your questions on the wiki whiteboard you set up on Facebook. As you know, I am an avid Facebook user, and agree with Carla A that social networking sites are one way we can cultivate the relationships we have made in online communities of practice. Your opinions are thoughtful and insightful, and I wrote a response on how I have used Facebook so far for professional development.

Please share your thoughts.

Dear Gladys,

First let me tell you that I just found your other piece that I'm finally joining to together to the other bits of you because of technorati! Amazing!

Then, I'd say that certainly Mr. Hodkinson has never had the full-fledged experience of being part of groups such as the learningwithcomputers and the Webheads. In fact, I'm quite the opposite. He says he'll nurture his garden. I prefer to take my time nurturing my strong relationships I made online and hope to meet one day f2f!

I guess it's just a different perspective, and I know some of my friends and colleagues think I'm kind of a cyberspaced ET!

Loved your thorough reflections!
